Easy Apple Pie Cookie Cups
These Easy Apple Pie Cookie Cups will be a hit at your next family or church gathering! They are so warm, gooey and bursting with that fall apple flavor. You won't be able to resist!
My husband and I are huge fans of anything with apples in it. Apple pie, apple crumble, apple strudels, or apple cake; you name it, we love it. There's just something about warm, gooey apples with cinnamon and sugar glaze that make you wanna slap yo mama. So it's no surprise that every fall we go to our favorite orchard and bring home a bag full of apples to experiment with in the kitchen.
So this year in our pursuit of a brand new delicious apple recipe, these babies were born, and I couldn't be more pleased with the way they turned out! They were husband approved and dog approved :)
They were super easy to make, and would be perfect for thanksgiving dessert or even for a small potluck. It's a great way to use all of those apples up without all the fuss of making a pie!
These cookie cups are baked to perfection, then stuffed with soft cinnamon sugar glazed apples, topped with savory ice cream, and then drizzled with caramel. Did you know how easy it is to make homemade caramel?! Neither did we! But my husband found this AMAZING homemade caramel recipe from Allrecipes.com and now I'm obsessed. Honestly, I didn't even like caramel until I tried this version and it is awesome. It was so quick and easy to make, it will definitely be a staple in our house from now on! You should definitely try it with these cookie cups and let me know how you like them!
