Whew! I cannot believe that it has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. I am normally SO good about staying on track and pushing blog posts out, but my mind has been everywhere these past two weeks.
I've had to keep up with finals at school and had two deaths in the family, along with my other wifely duties like keeping everyone fed and the house at least looking decent. Plus I've had to meet with advisors to sign up for spring courses, and I may have changed my major yet again. Anyone else been there?!
I've also started up my new photography business, Madison Weaver Photography, so I've been setting up my blog and socials and trying to get some new clients (if you're located in the Charlotte, NC area and are in need of some holiday photos, I'd love to help you out! If you're not in the area, I do travel!) It's just been SUPER stressful, but I like to stay busy so it's been a good thing!
I'm finally getting to share part 2 of my home tour with you guys! With all of the events that have unfolded in my life this month, I didn't get a chance to go "all out" like I did in my first home tour. I wasn't too pleased with the way my living room turned out, but it was still pretty so I thought I'd include it here. We decided to go with a snowman theme for our living room.
Here is my bathroom decor. We live in a renovated attic, so we don't have much space at all. So, I decided to decorate the major piece of furniture in our bathroom with antique stuff! We got the red lantern from my mom's shop beside our house, dusted it off a bit, and stuck it up there. I think it made the whole decor pop and it turned out really well. I got the wreath from Big Lots a few years back I believe, the chalkboard from Hobby Lobby (here's a cute one like it!), and the Lantern's we got from Sam's Club (yes, Sam's Club!) that we used at our wedding. You can find the wooded letters at Walmart for super cheap!
Next is our living room. Like I said earlier, we decided to go with a snowman theme in there. I was soooo stumped on what to do with my mantle. Then I remembered how much fun we had on our snowman paint n' pour date night, and thought, why don't we just paint some pictures to go on it? We had a blast doing this again. My husband is now obsessed with painting and wants some new acrylic paints for Christmas. He does WAY better than I do!
I've also got a little gift for you guys! Need a cute printable to decorate your home with? I've created one just for you! It has my favorite Christmas bible verse on it so you can remember the TRUE reason for the season.
